A Proven Public Servant Ready to Lead Greenville’s District 3
Meet Tim Langley Candidate for Greenville City Council – District 3 Tim Langley is a lifelong public servant and a proud resident of Greenville, North Carolina.
Tim is now stepping forward to bring common sense leadership and traditional values back to the Greenville City Council. Tim has over 35 years of public service experience. He retired from the City of Greenville in 2019 after a fulfilling career as the Animal Protective Services Supervisor for the Greenville Police Department. Following that, he became a full-time Law Enforcement Officer with the East Carolina University Police Department, having served as a Reserve Police Officer with them for 13 years. Tim recently retired from the ECU Police Department.
Tim stated that the citizens of Greenville are tremendously blessed to have ECU as part of our city, and working with the ECU community has always brought him great joy. Although he has retired twice from public service, Tim remains actively involved in law enforcement as a part-time officer for a neighboring town.
Tim states that public service will always be a part of his life. He loves serving! Tim is running for the District 3 seat on the City Council, but his mission is clear: to represent all citizens of Greenville. His firsthand knowledge of city operations and decades in public safety gives him a unique, informed perspective on what it takes to make Greenville safer, stronger, and more responsive to its residents.
Tim is deeply committed to transparency, accessibility, and results-driven leadership. He believes every problem has a solution, and it starts with listening to the people. Tim and his wife, Chris, recently celebrated 36 wonderful years of marriage. They are proud parents of a cherished son and love calling Greenville home. Please stay connected with Tim as his campaign unfolds-he’s ready to talk, ready to listen, and ready to serve.
